FamilySmart Parent in Residence Program
FamilySmartâ„¢ Parents In Residence (PiR) and Youth In Residence (YiR) provide peer support, mentoring, system navigation and access to information, resources, networks and education for youth or young adult with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges;families and caregivers parenting children, youth or young adults with mental health and/or substance use challenges; and systems and service providers; to assist in building knowledge, skills and capacity in working well together with youth, young adults and families to enhance mental health outcomes.

Fraser Health - The START Team (Short Term, Assessment, Response, Treatment)
Provides urgent mental health assessment and brief crisis intervention for children and teens ages 6 to 18 who are in acute mental health crisis and live in Fraser Health region (from Burnaby to White Rock to Hope and Boston Bar). The START Team was formerly called the Child and Youth Crisis Program (CYCP). Youth and families can directly access services by calling toll-free 1-844-782-7811 (1-844-START11). Callers will be connected with the START Team office that serves their area. more info
