Adult Abuse and Neglect

Fraser Health is responsible for responding to situations of abuse and neglect involving adults unable to seek support and assistance on their own due to restraint, physical handicap, illness, disease, injury or any other condition that affects their ability to make decisions. Fraser Health has specially trained staff who respond and investigate reports of possible abuse and neglect of adults. These responders are located in hospitals and community programs throughout Fraser Health.
If you have concerns that a vulnerable adult may be:
▪ Abused or neglected ▪ Living at risk due to neglect or self-neglect
▪ Having trouble knowing with support and assistance on their own, and how to go about it
