Provides emotional and practical support to individuals, their family, and friends in the White Rock/ South Surrey area who are facing advanced illness or bereavement.Services include: assessment and referral; individual and family counselling by registered clinical counselors; group counselling by registered clinical counselors and professionally trained volunteers; children and teen support; children’s grief day camps; relaxation programs; bereavement walking groups; mindfulness groups, telephone support; vigil program; emergency response team to provide support in cases of sudden death; a resource library; community outreach and education, and volunteer training. The service can help individuals with mental health disorders and their family members better understand the cause and potential chances for them or their family members (eg. children) to develop a psychiatric disorder. The clinic offers individuals and families a very powerful service as it helps people better understand why they have a mental health disorder.
